Yaffa Azagui was born in Jerusalem in 1957. When she was 3 years old, her family moved to Lima, Peru. At the age of 17 she was accepted at the Arts Academy, but she decided to go back to Israel, where she started studying at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. There she learned drawing and painting under the tutorial of the internationally known artist David Gerstein. In 1989 she moved to Venezuela, to a small city in the Andes. In 1990 she, and artist Sarah Stori opened in Caracas their exhibition "Growing Up". In 1999 she moved back to Israel, where she showed her works at the "Woman, Woman" exhibition in the city of Akre.
